"I shoot both seasoned models and everyday girls - each shoot is a collaboration ... I try to find a balance between my ideas and theirs, and make them feel as comfortable as possible."
Marilee Caruso was born and raised in Northern California around the beautiful Bay Area and is now located in Vacaville right between San Francisco and Sacramento. While attending classes at a small Junior College she took a basic black and white film class and fell in love. From the very beginning her work was inspired by the 1920s-1960s and the family photos she loved to look at as a child. Marilee then attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco where she honed her skills with the camera, lighting and retouching.
Now an internationally published photographer, Marilee specializes in transforming models and everyday women into fabulous retro pin-up girls. She is also well known for her work in multiple leading Hot Rod and Tattoo Magazines.
